Art Holidays Abroad

Things to think about when choosing an art holiday abroad:

Is the art tour to a country or city you are interested in exploring?

Is it a cultural art tour or a painting holiday with guided workshops?

Do you have exclusive use of all accommodation, or will other tour parties be in your hotels or guest houses too?

Is the accommodation property pleasant and inspiring? Will there be plenty of time to sketch, paint or  just relax back at base.

Does the cost include your flights from the UK?

Is it full board accommodation (all food and accommodation) or will you need to bring additional money for meals and drinks?

Are your tuition fees included in the price?

Do you need to bring your own art materials? If so what? Will the operator supply any art materials, if so, are these included in the price? How will they get transported to your destination?

How many other guests will be travelling on the tour with you? If there are more than 10 will you get enough time with the tutor?

Doe the cost cover any entrance fees, passes to locations you’ll be visiting and the cost of transport or internal flights?

Are you able to bring non-painting partners? Will there be enough to keep them entertained on your art holiday? Is the accommodation based on twin sharing or single rooms? Will there be an additional single person supplement?

Will you like the art tutor or guide? Are they enthusiastic and inspiring? Are they professional and know the area?

Is the travel operator established and reliable. Are they travel experts? Are they experienced in tours to the country you are travelling to?

Are additional cultural experiences offered? Will there be gallery visits or art and architecture tours, and others visits to inspire you by discovering the wider art and literary culture of
 the area you are visiting.
